Understand your business performance
Reports help you spot what's working — busiest days, top services, staff utilization, and returning client rates.
Open reports
Access reports from Settings → Reports on mobile, or the Reports tab on the web app. Select a date range to filter all metrics.
Key metrics
- Revenue — total income over the selected period, with daily trends.
- Bookings — appointment count, completion rate, and cancellations.
- No-shows — track missed appointments to identify patterns.
- New vs returning clients — measure client retention.
- Staff performance — bookings and revenue per team member.
- Service breakdown — which categories and services drive the most revenue.
- Commissions — service commission earnings by staff.
- Payroll — combined wages, service commissions, product commissions, and tips per team member.
- Pay runs — formalize payroll for a period, add bonuses or deductions, and track draft → approved → paid status.
Payroll report
See total pay for each team member in one report — hourly wages from timesheets, service commissions, product commissions, and tips.
- Open Reports (mobile: Settings → Reports; web: Reports tab).
- Select the Payroll report type.
- Choose a date range (e.g. This week, Last month, or Custom).
- Optionally filter by a single staff member.
Summary tab shows cards for total wages, service commission, product commission, tips, and grand total, plus a pay-by-staff chart.
Details tab lists each team member — tap to expand and see line items (timesheet shifts, completed services, product sales, tips).
Export & print:
- Export — choose Standard CSV, QuickBooks journal, or Xero journal (see QuickBooks & Xero export).
- Print — generate a printable summary with per-staff breakdown.
When you are ready to finalize a period, use Pay runs to review totals, add adjustments, and mark the run approved and paid.
Setup guides: Staff pay settings, Timesheets, and Commissions.
Pay runs
Pay runs let you formalize payroll for a specific period — review calculated totals, add one-off adjustments, and track status from draft through approval to paid.
Open pay runs:
- Open Reports and select the Payroll report.
- Tap Pay runs in the toolbar (receipt icon on mobile, button on web).
Create a pay run:
- On the pay runs screen, review the suggested period card — it uses your Pay period settings by default.
- Tap Create pay run.
- If you opened pay runs from the payroll report with a custom date range, that range is used instead.
Status workflow:
- Draft — review payroll totals per staff member. Add, edit, or remove adjustments.
- Approved — totals and adjustments are locked. Pay staff externally, then mark the run paid.
- Paid — records that staff were paid outside Fiyr. The run stays read-only for your records.
Adjustments (draft only):
- Bonus — add extra pay (e.g. performance bonus, holiday pay).
- Deduction — subtract an amount (e.g. uniform cost, advance repayment).
- Fixed salary — add a flat salary amount for salaried staff not fully covered by timesheets or commissions.
Each adjustment is tied to one staff member and is included in that person’s total on the pay run detail screen.
Configure how often you pay staff under Pay period settings.
Pay period settings
Set your business default pay frequency so new pay runs suggest the correct date range automatically.
- Open Reports → Payroll → Pay runs.
- Tap the settings (gear) icon.
- Choose Pay frequency — Weekly, Every 2 weeks, or Monthly.
- Review the Last completed period preview to confirm the dates look right.
- Tap Save.
How periods are calculated:
- Weekly — the most recently finished calendar week, based on your Week start day in Settings → Booking Configuration.
- Every 2 weeks — the most recently finished two-week block, aligned to the same week start day.
- Monthly — the most recently finished calendar month (e.g. if today is March 5, the suggested period is all of February).
When you create a pay run without a custom date range, Fiyr uses the last completed period from these settings.
After saving, return to Pay runs — the suggested period card updates immediately.
Commission reports
See service commission earnings during the selected period (product commissions appear in the Payroll report):
- Open Reports and pick a date range.
- Select the Commissions report type.
- Review totals per staff member and per completed service.
- Tap Export to download a CSV, or Print for a paper copy.
To change commission rates, edit each service under Settings → Service → Team member commission, or products under Settings → Products. See Staff commissions for setup steps.
Filters, export, and print
Filter reports by staff member, service category, or custom date range.
Use the toolbar to:
- Export — download report data as CSV (revenue, bookings, services, commissions, or payroll lines depending on the view).
- Print — generate a printable summary of the current report, including per-staff payroll breakdown when viewing Payroll.
Use reports to inform staffing decisions, pricing changes, commission payouts, and marketing focus.
QuickBooks & Xero export
Export payroll as journal entries for your accounting software — Fiyr does not connect directly to QuickBooks or Xero; you import the CSV file manually.
From the Payroll report:
- Open Reports → Payroll and choose the pay period.
- Tap Export.
- Choose Standard CSV, QuickBooks journal, or Xero journal.
From a pay run: open the pay run detail screen and tap the download icon — same export formats are available.
QuickBooks journal produces a journal-entry CSV compatible with common QuickBooks import tools (e.g. Transaction Pro, SaasAnt). Each staff member gets expense lines for wages, commissions, tips, and adjustments, plus a credit to Payroll Payable.
Xero journal produces a manual-journal CSV for Accounting → Manual Journals → Import. Debits are positive amounts; credits are negative.
