Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how Fiyr, Inc. (“Fiyr,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on fiyr.app and related marketing websites (the “Site”). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
The Fiyr mobile app may use local storage and device identifiers for functionality; those are described in the Privacy Policy and are not the primary focus of this document.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your browser or device. Similar technologies include pixels, local storage, and SDK identifiers. They help websites remember preferences, keep you signed in, measure traffic, and deliver relevant content.
2. How we use cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to:
- operate the Site (e.g., load pages, remember cookie consent choices);
- understand how visitors use the Site (analytics);
- measure marketing performance (e.g., which campaigns led to sign-ups);
- improve security and prevent abuse.
3. Types of cookies we use
| Category | Purpose | Examples |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Required for the Site to function. Cannot be switched off in our systems. | Session security, load balancing, consent storage |
| Functional | Remember choices and provide enhanced features. | Language preference, form progress |
| Analytics | Help us understand traffic and usage patterns in aggregate. | Page views, referral source, device type |
| Marketing | Measure ad effectiveness and deliver relevant promotions (where enabled). | Conversion tracking, retargeting pixels |
Specific cookie names and providers may change as we update the Site. We will update this policy when we add material new tracking.
4. Third-party cookies
Some cookies are set by third parties that provide services on our behalf, such as:
- Analytics providers (e.g., Google Analytics 4, to measure Site traffic when enabled in
assets/analytics-config.js); - Advertising partners (if we run paid campaigns with conversion tracking);
- Embedded content (e.g., videos or social widgets, if present).
These third parties may collect information about your online activities over time and across websites, subject to their own policies.
5. Your choices
5.1 Browser controls
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. If you block strictly necessary cookies, parts of the Site may not work correctly.
5.2 Consent (EEA/UK)
Where required by law, we will ask for your consent before placing non-essential cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing cookies or using our cookie settings (when available on the Site).
5.3 Do Not Track
Some browsers send “Do Not Track” signals. There is no uniform industry standard for responding; we currently do not alter our practices solely based on DNT signals.
5.4 Opt-out links (examples)
- Google Analytics opt-out: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout
- Network Advertising Initiative: optout.networkadvertising.org
6. Retention
Session cookies expire when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain until they expire or you delete them. Retention periods vary by cookie type and purpose.
7. Updates
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the latest revision.
